“I was born in Lisbon, 1987. I belong to a generation that is extremely consumerist, materialist and greedy. With the production of things at its highest, the production of “waste” and unused objects is also at its highest.
.
“Waste” is quoted because of it’s abstract definition: One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I create, re-create, assemble and develop ideas with end-of-life material and try to relate it to sustainability, ecological and social awareness.”
– Bordalo II, Street artist
.
“Half Rabbit” is a 3-D mural/sculpture located on a quiet street across the river from Porto in Vila Nova de Gaia.
.
The artist, @b0rdalo_ii uses found material and trash he collects in around the city, in abandoned houses, junkyards and factories to create his Big Trash Animal series.
.
His artwork is installed in many cities throughout the world. Truly amazing work!
