“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
– William W. Purkey
I love being up in the early morning while the world still sleeps.
I love eating the first perfectly ripe peach of the season.
I love the sound of loons calling to me across the water.
I love long walks on the beach hunting for treasures.
I love the rain on my face, the sun on my back, windless days, and starry nights.
I love to laugh, big belly laughs that take you close to bursting.
I love the feel of cashmere, clean sheets and my husband’s hands.
I love music, give me music of any kind and I’ll listen.
I love libraries, independent book stores and the smell of new books.
I love to dance, to move my body, feel the jingle jangle in my bones.
I love cooking healthy, eating with friends, going to farmer’s markets.
I love how each word I write gives me a voice and sets me free.
I love photography, the seeing, the capturing, the sharing.
I love how poetry drips into my soul.
I love hugging trees, people and mother earth.
I love solitude, pure darkness, total silence.
I love this is how I spent a few minutes, writing about what I love.
I love how beautiful life can be.
I love that I let myself love…and be loved.
